Are you a highly organised professional who thrives on both precision and collaboration? Do you possess the analytical sharpness to manage complex financial and administrative processes, combined with the relationship-building intuition to champion customer service?
We are seeking a proactive and calm individual to join a major player in the Intermodal/Transport industry. This role is the vital link between our site operations, administration, and customer satisfaction, requiring a dynamic blend of assertive focus and supportive guidance. If you are ready to take ownership of site administration, nurture key relationships, and ensure financial integrity, this Temp-to-Perm opportunity is your next career destination.
About the Role
This is a fast-paced position where you will be the backbone of administrative and operational efficiency, directly supporting the Operations Manager and ensuring the smooth flow of the site.
- You will take ownership of daily administrative processes, manage distribution records (including run sheets and PODs), and ensure timely completion of branch payroll and subcontractor invoice reconciliation, ensuring financial integrity is maintained.
- You will be the confident and collaborative point of contact for external customers, managing their requests, addressing service issues within 24 hours, and building successful, trusting relationships with key stakeholders.
- You will actively seek continuous improvement opportunities, provide proactive guidance and coaching to administrative staff, and play a key role in the branch's ongoing transition projects.
- You will ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to, participate in safety resolution, and help foster a mutual respect-based relationship with operators, upholding a commitment to an injury-free workplace.
About You
You are an inherently calm professional who is able to act with necessary urgency when the pressure is on. Your approach is process-driven, yet flexible enough to manage competing priorities.
- You possess administrative experience, ideally within the fast-paced Transport/Logistics industry.
- You are proficient in systems like SAP and MS Excel, with proven experience in payroll completion, attention to detail, and financial reconciliation.
- You demonstrate highly professional written and verbal communication skills, thriving as a customer-focused team worker who builds trust easily with subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- You are comfortable working autonomously, providing effective, timely advice to drivers on the road, and you are supportive of flexible start times during peak operational periods.
